Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
